According to a Payom TV source, Tajik activist Saidtaib Saidmamudov was detained in Germany on October 19, 2026, and may be held in Bavaria. More than ten days later, his relatives still have no clear information about his exact whereabouts or legal status.

The source describes Saidmamudov as a political activist and a member of the Pamiri community who has participated in several peaceful demonstrations organised by Tajik citizens in Germany.

The source has expressed concern about the possibility of Saidmamudov being deported to Tajikistan and has urged international human rights organisations to pay immediate attention to his case.

The reported detention and Saidmamudov’s possible location in Bavaria had not been independently verified at the time of publication.

Payom TV has obtained a photograph of a document bearing Saidtaib Saidmamudov’s name, dated October 19, 2026, and issued in the name of the German Federal Police at Frankfurt Airport.

The document states that Saidmamudov had sought asylum in Germany and was required to contact the relevant office of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) to formally submit his asylum application.

The document concerns asylum procedures and instructions directing an asylum seeker to the appropriate reception facility.

It does not, in itself, confirm that Saidmamudov was detained or that a deportation order had been issued against him. Standard forms used in the German asylum application process are available on BAMF’s official website.

According to the Payom TV source, Saidmamudov participated in a demonstration outside the Tajik Embassy in Berlin on September 28, 2023, and another protest outside the German Federal Chancellery on September 30 of the same year.

Concerns about his possible return to Tajikistan stem from the risk that his participation in opposition protests could expose him to political persecution.

At the time this report was prepared, no official statements from German or Tajik authorities regarding Saidmamudov’s case were available.

The immediate priority is to establish Saidtaib Saidmamudov’s exact whereabouts, clarify his legal status and ensure that he has access to qualified legal assistance.
